Guardianship
Unfortunately, many families will encounter the situation in which a family member has lost capacity and will require constant care from another family member. A Guardianship is the legal process by which an incapacitated person is declared incompetent by the court and a guardian is appointed to care for them. In Florida, a guardian must be represented by an attorney who will provide legal guidance as the guardian carries out his or her duties on behalf of the incapacitated person (the ward).

Attorney Oscar E. Oscar grew up in Miami, Florida, and has been an active member of South Florida’s business community for many years. He earned his Bachelor of Business degree from Florida International University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
